About Chinese Yuan Shikai Dollar
Featured the portrait of President Yuan Shikai. Became the standard silver dollar of the Republic of China. Known as Fatman dollars by collectors. Minted by various mints in China. The Yuan Shikai dollar was the most common Chinese silver dollar of the 20th century. It circulated alongside dragon dollars and foreign trade coins. The coin remained in use until the Communist victory in 1949.
