About Walking Liberty Half Dollar
Considered by many the most beautiful US silver coin. Featured Liberty walking toward the sunrise, draped in the American flag. Designed by Adolph Weinman, who also designed the Mercury dime. The design was so admired it was revived for the American Silver Eagle bullion coin in 1986. The 1921-S is the key date. Minted until 1947. Collectors prize fully struck examples with strong hand details.
