About Saudi Riyal
The riyal replaced the Hejaz riyal after the founding of Saudi Arabia. Pegged to the US dollar at 3.75 riyals since 1986. Saudi Arabia is the largest economy in the Arab world. The riyal is used exclusively within the kingdom. Saudi banknotes feature the kings portrait and Islamic architecture. The Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority was established in 1952.
