About Rwandan Franc
The Rwandan franc replaced the Rwandan and Burundian franc in 1964. The National Bank of Rwanda was established in 1964. Rwandan banknotes feature gorillas, the genocide memorial, and national development projects. Rwanda has been one of the fastest growing economies in Africa since the 1994 genocide. The Rwandan franc is managed by an inflation targeting framework. Rwanda is considered one of the least corrupt countries in Africa.
