About US Prestige Proof Set
A premium proof set from 1983 to 1997 that included the commemorative silver dollar and sometimes half dollar from that year in addition to regular proof coins. The Prestige set came in deluxe packaging. The sets are now collectible as complete packages. The 1996 Prestige set is the most valuable as it includes the Olympics and Smithsonian commemoratives. Discontinued in 1998 when the US Mint restructured its product line.
