About Peace Dollar
Commemorating the peace following World War I. Featured Liberty with a radiate crown and a perched eagle on the reverse. Designed by Anthony de Francisci. His wife Teresa served as the model for Liberty. The 1921 Peace dollar was struck in high relief, making it difficult to produce. Low relief was adopted in 1922. The 1934-S Peace dollar is a key rarity. Minted from 1921 to 1928, 1934 to 1935.
