About Nasrid Coin
The coins of the Emirate of Granada, the last Muslim state in Spain. Featured the Nasrid motto There is no victor but God. Granada survived for over 250 years as a tributary state before falling to Ferdinand and Isabella in 1492. Nasrid copper coins are the most common, as gold and silver became scarce in the final years. The coins of Muhammad XII, known as Boabdil, the last Nasrid ruler, are particularly poignant.
