About Mexican 50 Peso
Also called the Centenario. Commemorates 100 years of Mexican independence. Contains 1.2057 ounces of pure gold, more than a full Krugerrand. Featured Winged Victory on one side and the Mexican coat of arms with eagles and snakes on the other. The Centenario is a popular bullion coin, especially in Mexico. The design was so popular it was used as inspiration for the 1982 Libertad bullion series.
