About Kuwaiti Dinar
The highest valued currency unit in the world. One Kuwaiti dinar equals approximately 3.3 US dollars. Introduced when Kuwait gained independence from Britain. The Kuwaiti dinar was briefly replaced by the Iraqi dinar during the 1990 invasion but was restored after liberation. Kuwaiti banknotes feature the Kuwait Towers, the Grand Mosque, and a dhow ship. The Central Bank of Kuwait maintains a managed float with a basket of currencies.
