Guernsey Coinage
About Guernsey Coinage
The Bailiwick of Guernsey issues its own currency pegged at par with the British pound. Guernsey coins and notes feature local landmarks and the Guernsey lily. The States of Guernsey regulates the currency. Guernsey was under German occupation from 1940 to 1945, during which occupation currency was issued. The occupation notes are collected as historical artifacts. Guernsey currency like Jersey and Isle of Man is not legal tender in the UK.
