The one cent coin of the eurozone. The smallest denomination of euro coin. Features a globe on the common reverse. Each country has its own national obverse design. The one cent coin is controversial due to its low purchasing power and production cost. Finland and the Netherlands have effectively stopped using one and two cent coins, rounding transactions to the nearest five cents.
