The one euro coin is bimetallic with a copper nickel center and nickel brass ring, the reverse of the 2 euro. Each country has its own national design. Over 15 billion have been minted. The one euro coin is the workhorse of eurozone coinage. Monaco, San Marino, and Vatican City one euro coins are scarce and collectible. Finnish coins feature swimming reindeer.
