About Estonian Kroon
The kroon was introduced in 1928, replacing the Estonian mark. The Soviet occupation replaced the kroon with the ruble in 1940. Estonia restored the kroon in 1992, pegged to the deutsche mark and later the euro. Estonia adopted the euro in 2011 at 15.6466 krooni per euro. Estonia was the first Baltic state to adopt the euro. The kroon was considered one of the most stable post Soviet currencies.
