About Draped Bust Dollar
Featured Liberty with a draped bust, designed by Gilbert Stuart. The reverse initially showed a small eagle, later replaced by the heraldic eagle in 1798. The famous 1804 dollar was actually minted in the 1830s as a diplomatic gift. Only 15 original 1804 dollars exist, divided into Class I, II, and III. Each is worth millions. The 1804 dollar is called the King of American Coins.
