About Chinese Dragon Dollar
The silver dollar coins of the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic. Featured a dragon on the reverse. The Pei Yang, Kiangnan, and Hupeh mints produced the most dragon dollars. Each province had its own design. The 1911 Republic dollar replaced the dragon designs. Dragon dollars are heavily collected in China and among overseas Chinese. Rare dates in high grade sell for tens of thousands of dollars.
