Despite its origins, Dogecoin developed a passionate community known for charitable tipping. Elon Musk tweets about Dogecoin regularly, causing price volatility. Dogecoin has been used for fundraising including the 2014 Jamaican bobsled team and charity water projects. Over 130 billion DOGE are in circulation with no supply cap. Dogecoin proved that community and meme culture can drive cryptocurrency adoption.
