About Canadian Silver Half Dollar
Canadian half dollars minted before 1967 contain 80 percent silver. Featured the monarch on the obverse and the Canadian coat of arms on the reverse. The 1921 Canadian half dollar is extremely rare, with fewer than 60 known. Most 1921 halves were melted at the mint. Canadian silver halves are less commonly collected than quarters and dollars.
