About US Bust Dime
Also called the Draped Bust dime. Featured Liberty on the obverse and a small eagle or heraldic eagle on the reverse. The 1796 and 1797 dimes are very rare. The 1804 dime is legendary, with very few known. The Capped Bust dime replaced the Draped Bust in 1809. Early dimes had no reeding on the edge, making them easy to counterfeit.
