About US Bicentennial Coinage Set
The US Mint produced special three coin sets for the Bicentennial featuring the quarter, half dollar, and dollar with unique reverses. Over 7 million silver clad sets were sold to collectors. An additional 4 million three coin mint sets were produced. The Bicentennial coinage was the first US coin redesign since the Jefferson nickel in 1938. The coins were dated 1776-1976, unique in US history.
