Bosnian Convertible Mark
About Bosnian Convertible Mark
The convertible mark replaced the Bosnian dinar and the Croatian kuna used in different parts of the country. Pegged to the euro at 1.95583 marks per euro, matching the former deutsche mark rate. The currency was introduced as part of the Dayton Peace Agreement. Bosnian banknotes feature different designs for the Federation and the Republika Srpska. The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina is unique in having no monetary policy independence due to the currency board arrangement.
