About Almohad Coin
Coins of the Almohad Caliphate that succeeded the Almoravids. Featured the name of the Almohad ruler and the proclamation of divine unity. The Almohads unified Morocco and Spain briefly. Their square silver dirhams were distinctive. The Almohad monetary system was based on gold, silver, and copper. The Almohads were succeeded by the Marinid dynasty in Morocco and the Nasrid dynasty in Granada.
